Gateway city St. Anthony, Newfoundland
Adequate snow is rarely a problem as we have more than any other place in Eastern North America. Snowmobiling in the high country depends on clear conditions, so if there is a day when it is snowing heavily or windy we can use alternate local tours.
If there is a day when it's not suitable to travel outside, guests can stay inside for the day and learn about the skills of making a pair of snowshoes in the Newfoundland traditional way; you can takes your snowshoes with you when you return home. There is also a pool table, exercise room, sauna and hot tub. Guests may also meet "Spinner" a beautiful Newfoundland Dog. They're large gentle creatures developed through natural selection on this island and are an integral part of our culture. Why they even have webbed feet!
Our guides who have worked in our area for the past 35 years will accompany you. They know all the details of the land, rivers and trails. They have been professionally trained in compass and map reading. This is a major requirement as an unpredicted blizzard can sometimes occur. A mechanic accompanies each ride carrying basic snowmobile parts. With our guides each day will be a full and rewarding experience.
